Sports Enthusiast
From a very early age, watching and playing competitive sports had a very big influence on Per Kamperin’s life. From golf to soccer, watching and playing provided years of enjoyment and still does to this day. Of particular and unique interest to Per Kamperin, however, was his active study and practice of Karate, Kyokushinkai-style.
Kyokushinkai Karate
Karate for Per Kamperin was not just a side interest when he first began. He immediately became heavily involved in its practice and theory. “Kyokushin is a style of stand-up, full contact karate founded in 1964 by Korean Japanese Masutatsu Oyama. Kyokushin is Japanese for ‘the ultimate truth’” and “is rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline, and hard training”. “More than 12 million” people all over the world currently practice Kyokushin today.
World Traveller
Two of Per Kamperin’s favorite pastimes, often enjoyed together, are travelling and spending time with friends and family. His most travelled to and subsequent favorite travel destinations are Australia, Aitutaki (Pacific island), and Singapore.
